MONICA LIESER, MMFT, LMFT, LPC
Monica founded the Sandhill Institute for Professional Development in December of 2018. The Institute represents Monica’s ongoing commitment to deepening relationships with colleagues and her commitment to advancing the craft of psychotherapy, the body of behavioral science research, and the accountability of practitioners to their respective professions in behavioral medicine and the like. The Institute will create space for meaningful, challenging, and forward-thinking conversations.
Monica Lieser is a Licensed Marital and Family Therapist and a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Missouri. She is Co-Founder, Owner, and Clinical Director of Sandhill Counseling & Consultation, LLC in O’Fallon, MO. Sandhill Counseling & Consultation, LLC was established in 2009 and is a group, multi-disciplinary practice with over 30 practitioners. Monica has served the profession at the University, State, and National levels for nearly 20 years. This service includes, President of the Missouri Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, National and State Advocacy Committees for both Michigan and Missouri, American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy Steering Committee member, and Advisory Committee Member for the University of Central Missouri’s Human Development and Family Science Masters Program with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. Monica has taught adjunct courses for Western Michigan University, Maryville University, and Webster University. And lastly, she has been a presenter and guest speaker at local, state, and national conferences and professional association events. Monica has contributed to professional publications and is the co-author of a book titled, 14 Days of Foreplay. Monica has been married for 17 years and she has two sons. Being inspired by friends and colleagues is what fuels her. She is in awe of the strength and vulnerability of humanity and seeks to give of herself to positively contribute to all. She believes the purpose of wealth, in all its forms, is to invest in the wealth of others. |
