Cathy will provide an overview of various expressive therapies and then "focus" in more detail on interventions used in PhotoTherapy, Writing Therapy and Art Therapy.  She will provide examples from her many years of workshops with schools and community settings as well as from her clinical practice with individuals and groups.  ​

Cathy Lander-Goldberg, MSW, LCSW is a licensed clinical social worker at St. Louis Behavioral Medicine Institute who works with individuals with a variety of mental health issues and is a group therapist in the SLBMI Intensive Outpatient Eating Disorders Program. She has more than 25 years experience conducting expressive workshops in a variety of settings including psychiatric  hospitals, schools for at-risk youth, residential treatment programs and community centers throughout the Midwest. She is the author of the workbook, PHOTO EXPLORATIONS: A Girl's Guide to Self-Discovery Through Photography, Writing and Drawing. She also is  a professional photographer and the curator of the traveling photo and literary exhibit, The RESILIENT SOULS PROJECT, which celebrates inner strength.
